Children's Day Celebrated



On 13 th of November 2009, SO HUM visited The Chavadi Child Welfare Society (http://www.tccws.org) at Telecom Nagar, Hyderabad on the occasion of Children's Day.

SO HUM Spent some time with students knowing about their daily activities and distributed some Skin Care items for the winter. School Uniforms and School Books are distributed. The visit was concluded with Children singing the National Anthem

Flood Effected Villages Visited



On 10 th of October, SO HUM visited the following Villages Near Ibrahimpatnam:
  • Tummala Palem 
  • Totla Valleru 
  • Ferry
Items are distributed identifying the need of the villagers. Items that are distributed are:
  • 320 Kg of Rice
  • 32 Kg of Dal
  • 100 Bread Packets
  • 100 Biscuit packets (Quality: Good Day)

As it was late in the evening remaining were handed over to TV9, Vijayawada

Independence Day Celebrated



SO HUM conducted the following events at Zilla Parishad School, Kukatpally on 11 th of August, 2009 at 2.00 pm :
  • Elocution: For Standard X (Topic: My Vision for India), 
  • Quiz : For Standard VIII and IX (Topics: Indian Geography, History and Freedom Movement ), 
  • Drawing : For Standard VI to X (Topic: Indian Village)

On 15th of August 2009, SO HUM distributed Prizes to the winners in the Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Virodhi Nama Ugadi Celebrated



SO HUM conducted Quiz Programs at ZP High School, Lingampally on 14th of March, 2009 at 9.00 am on the occasion of Ugadi, 2009. Senior and Junior Batches are formed with 15 Students each in 5 teams. Books costing upto Rs.50 each were distributed to all others as a token of participation gift. A total of 30 books were distributed to all. These are on various topics related to short stories, personality development (for Std. X)

Who Are We ?

We are sincere and dynamic team with a determination to serve the society and our efforts are always on to serve the needy. We started a society called SO HUM (Society for Humanity) registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Regd. No.: 415/2009) on 18th March 2009. 

Our Objectives
  • To take the Indian Tradition, Culture and Heritage to the next generations
  • To give helping hand to the poor, deprived and helpless and under privileged; economically helpless and poor, physically and mentally helpless, culturally poor, and are ignorant of tradition
  • To give helping hand to the neglected old people and children
  • Keep the instinct intact and frequently take-up various social activities for the betterment of the society
  • To work honestly and whole-heartedly for the welfare and benefit of the needy in the society
  • To rise-up to the occasion voluntarily in case of epidemics and natural disasters
  • To be a non-profit organization, not showing any discrimination by virtue of cast, creed, religion or sex while executing activities
  • To take helping hand extended by like-minded in strengthening and boosting the activities
  • Shall not carry on any business of commercial nature
  • There are no restrictions on the geographical area for the activities of the society
